Subject: Automated External Defibrillator training

Greetings members,

The PPC has recently purchased and received an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine for Club use which is kept in the storage bin at the courts.  Some of you are familiar with its use, but many of us are not.  One of our club members, Tim Mills has stepped forward to provide club members with instruction on how to effectively use the AED as well as teach some CPR.  Tim is a certified safety instructor and will offer this 2-hour course to be given on Monday, July 29th @ 1:00 pm in the Great Hall at the Seniors Center.  I have also reserved Tuesday, July 30th @ 3:00 pm should the numbers warrant another class.

Tim has indicated he prefers a maximum class size of 12.  Preference will be given to Captains, Court Hosts and Coordinators as these members are always at the courts running programs or monitoring drop in.  However, we welcome all members who would be interested in taking this course as space permits.

This is a non-certification course.  Tim will provide participants with a booklet at the end of the course.  The cost for the booklet is $24.00 p.p. (taxes in).  Please ensure you have your payment ready for Tim at the beginning of the session.

Let me know by return email if you would like to take the course and please specify if you are a Captain, Court Host, Coordinator or Member.  I will send you a confirmation for the date and time you are registered.
