Court News, Player Expectations (COVID)

1) NEWS:

We have been informed by the City that the fencing around the new courts will be installed sometime this week.  This includes reducing the height of the current east perimeter fence to the same height as the internal fencing between the existing 4 courts.  While this fence is being redone we will not be able to use the 2 east courts (1 & 4) and possibly 2 & 3. We will do our best to inform those that have reserved the courts for the days/times that will be impacted when we have a firm day and time from the city.

2) GUIDELINES REMINDERS:

Due to the significant increase in positive COVID cases in the Province and Interior Health in the last few weeks it is timely to remind all club members of the Player Expectations that the CITY approved our club to play under.  We are still bound by these guidelines, please review prior to your next visit to the courts.

Player Expectations

  • If you are not feeling well, if you have any symptoms such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing or have been in contact with someone that is not feeling well, you can’t be at the courts.
  • If you have just come back from another country in the previous 14 days, you cannot play or attend the facility – you should be self-isolating at home as per Provincial Health Officer’s directions/orders.
  • You must have washed your hands, sanitized your paddle/balls/water bottle before you arrive at the courts. Make sure you have enough water with you to avoid touching the water tap at the courts.

Note

By accepting the guidelines to play pickleball during club time, as previously communicated to members, you waive all rights and indemnify Penticton Pickleball Club and the City of Penticton of all wrong doings.
